Hello all, I’m looking at buying a 2017 xf 20d and would like input from owners of same model and year as to the reliability, MPG, and maintenance cost. I drive between 40k - 60k miles a year.
I do most my own repairs on most of my vehicles. Thanks in advance.

 

I bought a 2016 gas model after watching this and some other forums for 6-8 months and deciding that the cars were pretty reliable. i got mine used from a dealer with a couple years of warranty left on it. I never saw any complaints about the diesel models. I have had mine now for 6 months with no concerns.
I was a shade tree mechanic for 50 years and there is really not a thing I could fix or adjust on this car. There is no dipstick to check the oil, even.
Mileage is of course up to the driver.
