I have an intermittent error code on my SRS system. It appears to be from the Passenger Sensor A.
As near as I can determine, that is a position sensor for the seat that serves to modify the activation sequence.
Whatever its purpose is, where is it so I can ensure the connector is intact and I can clean the contacts?

I would expect the sensor to be under the passenger seat base as the occupancy and weight sensor for the airbags etc.
I don't have access to the support documents to identify it exactly though.

 

I have not been able to find a reference to SRS sensor A in my service guide and it does say that the occupancy sensor is not tied to the SRS system. It does say to disconnect the battery and let the backup power system drain (leave for at least 1 minute based on this doc) before disconnecting anything in the SRS system.
