I'm contemplating ordering a new XF R-Dynamic SE in the USA market.

Wondering what others are hearing on delivery dates for new XF builds ? From what I can see production at Castle Bromwich is still shut down based on the chip shortage.

Also reading and hearing that new XF build orders may be fulfilled with MY22 models - any insight on that ?

Drove past the Porsche dealer next door, and "new car" lot was empty for the first time in nearly 30 years I've lived here.

Scary..

We bought our 2021 XF a couple of months ago from the largest JLR dealer in New England. At the time they had some, not a lot, Jaguars. They had a lot more LRs. We got around 8% off our XF, which fortunately was in the color and trim we wanted. I spoke with our salesman yesterday and he said at this point everything is going at MSRP, no discounts, now I realize this is from a salesman but he’s been their over 15 years and I tend to think he’s being truthful. Their inventory is roughly 50% of what it normally is. I’ve read the chip shortage could go on for some time so certainly challenging time to be a buyer of some names for sure.

 

Buy a new old stock one with the V6. My .02.

 

There are still a few '20 S V6's unsold at discounted prices.

Shame the new interiors couldn't be offered with 400bhp.

As Jaguars last ICE sedan, a whimper instead of a roar is a crying shame.. and a travesty to the brand's ICE heritage.
