Default Battery issues with 2019 XF Sportbrake

Hi everyone,

for a couple of months now I've been the owner of a 2019 2.5d XF Sportbrake. Great car, but I am having issues with the battery.
Got the "low battery start engine" warning a couple of weeks ago. Then with the help of a colleague at work we used a charger to charge it fully. That was 2 weeks ago.
2 days later I drove a little more than 300km. Then the car stood for about a week. Another low battery warning. This week I've been driving for 4 days, each time at least half an hour.
Today I drove the car out of the garage and after setting it in the driveway the warning came on again after a couple of minutes.

Even had the battery health checked this week, but they said the battery is fine and healthy.

My guess is now something is draining the battery or it doesn't charge properly.

Anybody have any similar experiences with it? Plan is to go to the Jag dealer I bought it from, but wanted to check here first.

I don't drive that much, but it can't be that a fully charged battery won't even last a week!?

You should measure around 13.5 Volts +/- across the battery with the engine running to check your alternator.

If your battery is the original one, it is now approaching the end of its projected life. Your symptoms are typical of an old battery that will not hold a charge fo an extended period.
Before asking a dealer to investigate ($$$), it would probably be better to proactively replace this aging battery - but please note: new batteries are *ALMOST NEVER* fully charged at purchase, regardless of what the shop clerk might say. So a new battery should be fully charged BEFORE installation. And have you considered installing a battery maintainer? (CTEK being the favoured brand, but there are others). That way you will never have a low battery message again and you will avoid the gremlins that come to life with low battery voltage.
