Default Diamond Mats: Opinions, and could they be improved?

I want to replace the mundane rubber mats in my car with something classier, and I see lots of people are very happy with their Diamond Mats. But I also see some that complain about them being fragile and easy to tear holes into, and since they are not cheap I just wanted to ask what people on here think about them?

Seeing that these are Chinese, not having anything to do with England except an address there to make it seem they are English, and their use of "Eco Leather" which has just as much to do with real leather as vegan cheese has with cheese, I remain a bit sceptical.

And could you perhaps have a another mat of sound deadening material under them to provide better sound insulation, or would that make them too thick?
I understand they are pretty light, so I guess they won't dampen sound to any noticeable degree.

I bought diamond car mats a couple months back and loved them when i first got them, fit perfect no issues whatsoever. After probably 2 months i threw them out, got tired of them, always getting dirty, wet shoes would always leave a little pool in the mats, and the look was just too much for me. If youre gonna go ahead and buy them id recommend trying to find a discount code because they are so expensive. if you cant find one use code: Jamis
