I've got an issue with my Jaguar XF 2.0D Prestige 132Kw (X260) from 2016
The screen just keeps rebooting, it has been like this for months now.
It appeared 1 day, I heard like a big sound from the radio, boum, the screen has blinked, and since this day, it is resetting indefinitely, I can see the picture of the jaguar and then it shuts down, then the screen boots and display the jaguar, then black screen, etc
I've read in this forum that it's pretty common for the phone module under the left front seat to get water damage and fail, which takes out the whole infotainment system. But it was mostly on Jaguar XF X250.
It seems like I can even bypass the bluetooth module with an optic loop like this :
I've seen many videos on youtube as well, with the same issue, and the way to fix it was to replace the Bluetooth module or bypass it.
But on youtube, it was also exclusively on Jaguar XF first version (X250).
I searched on the internet for the Bluetooth module for X260, and I found this: https://www.ebay.fr/itm/275214065263
It seems like the Bluetooth module is different from version X250, and now I'm not even sure I can use the optic loop to bypass it and check if this is the issue in my case. The connector looks different.
I'll try to remove the passenger seat to have a look at the BT module, and see if it's rusted.
Do you have any idea if there is a fuse I should check before removing the passenger seat?
I am in the same situation currently, I have a Jaguar XF x260 2.0d. The screen keeps shutting off every 5-30 seconds. The jaguar logo flashes and then it reboots. Did you have any luck fixing it?
After 2 years of watching the screen constantly reboot , and finding no clear information about the Jaguar XF X260 model, I decided to check under the seats to see what the Bluetooth module looks like – like in the YouTube videos where people fix the endless rebooting screen issue.
But in my case, whether on the passenger or driver’s side… there is nothing there. I also checked in the left side of the boot, and again, nothing. Left seat (passenger in UK)
Right seat (dirver in UK)
Left side of the boot
So now I don’t know where else to look. My car definitely had Bluetooth before this problem started, so the module must exist somewhere. But I’m not even sure if replacing it would fix the problem, because it feels like the wiring and the fix are completely different compared to the XF X250.
All the youtube videos dealing with this issue are about the X250 models from before 2010, while mine is a 2016 (X260). So I’m stuck, if I can’t find a solution, I’ll have to go to a Jaguar dealer, but I’m afraid they will just replace the whole unit and it will cost a fortune, when I could maybe find the part on eBay for much less.
