Default Eco Data Display (30+ MPG)

When I first picked up my XF, I noticed the Eco Data history screen only went up to 30 MPG. I wondered if it was dynamic and would scale to higher MPGs if needed (like my wife's Outback). Turns out that is not the case - the display is fixed at 30 MPG and they simply add a '+' on the top to show it is over 30 MPG. I guess they weren't expecting anyone to get over 30 MPG regularly.

Side note - This is without getting her on the highway. Never thought I would be getting 30+ MPG with a supercharged V6 putting out this kind of power!

Me too but remember that engine is only turning around 1400 revs at 60 MPH. Just idling. Cheers

I believe if you cruised at 65 mph fairly level and straight you could do better than 30 mpg, but not by much. When I was still breaking in my car returning from a trip across the desert from Arizona, 1200 foot drop for 409 miles, I averaged 70 mph and 29.4 mpg (per car computer that's optimistic). That's with 1 bio break, and 1 state border stop. Cruise was set at 85 mph for the first 100 miles and 75 mph for the rest with occasional bursts up to 100 mph to pass

Those are close to the numbers I got on a similar trip with similar circumstances - I was around 27mpg or more in a 2011 V8. It really seemed like 80-90 with cruise control was its sweet spot!

Impressive and that is on a US gallon. I should get 20 percent more on Canadian Imperial gallon eh?
