Default Exhaust options on new XF?

Hi all,

Recently picked up my new car - and so far my only complaint is that the exhaust is practically silent. Such an odd choice by Jaguar, especially considering that when we drove the XE in the LA Tour the V6 loved to growl, and all reports indicate the F-Pace has a great tone.

I think my first mod will be the exhaust, nothing crazy, but some grumble for this cat is needed/required.

Has anyone else changed the exhaust on their new XF? If so what did you go with and how do you feel about it?

Thanks in advance!

I did not change the exhaust but was considering it. My spouse told me the car sounds really good when I drive away or back into the garage so today I listened and it sure seems to be getting more growl. Unlike the huge V8's I have had but not bad. Perhaps as the vehicle ages it gets louder? And this is the 380 HP S model...wonder if there is any difference to the exhaust between the 340 and 380?

It is far too quiet. I just put Magna flow resonators in place of factory muffler and my car sounds GREAT.

Any warranty issues with adding the resonators?

RASPY EXHAUST NOTE
Don’t be fooled by the understated demeanor of the XE under gentle acceleration. Enable dynamic mode and one will be rewarded with a raspy exhaust note to match the intoxicating roar of the potent supercharged V6 engine in the XE 35t.

Strange that they address the exhaust on the XE but not the XF

None at all. But then again I work at the dealer. I would attach a video of my XF but can't figure it out from my mobile.

Also, don't know what the other guy is talking about on the XE, the note doesn't change in dynamic mode. There is no active exhaust.

That statement is directly from the latest Jaguar online sales pitch. I am well aware there is no active exhaust but apparently Jaguar thinks the dynamic mode on the XE improves in that mode.

http://www.jaguarusa.com/newsletter/...ide_To_Manners

Click on the XE guide to manners and go down the page to Raspy Exhaust. There is also a video.

The quicksilver exhaust sounds pretty good on the 3.0 V6 without the "ricey" effect.

And here's a comparison between OEM and Xcentric Valvetronic:

For those in Socal, do you know any authorized Quicksilver exhaust system dealers/installers?
