gearbox fault light on dash
Welcome to the forums Daniela,
Is it a persistent message? The reason I ask is all modern Jaguars are very sensitive to battery condition and a partially discharged or failing battery is frequently the cause of weird electronic issues.
Whenever an error message is displayed or the MIL (check engine light) illuminates, the best way to start troubleshooting is to have the codes read. A generic scantool could show relevant transmission fault codes but only Jaguar Diagnostics or the equivalent can read the extended codes used on recent models.
