Help identifying part

Default Help identifying part

Need some help identifying this tube. Fell apart during SC removal for the infamous YPipe leak. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Forms connection on rear of the SC.

I can't find just the line part number. Ended up ordering a whole new vacuum chamber with line included.

I always feel better about replacing certain aged (over 5 years imho) component sets vs each component.

How was the cost?
Which part#s and dealer or 3rd party?

Just curious in case my pipe breaks...... was there anything hard about getting to the pipe? Any special tools needed? How long did it take you? Did you notice any carbon buildup in the intake tract?

I found it on ebay for about $80. It's the whole vacuum chamber plus hoses and sensor. So not too bad of a deal. I don't have the part number, but if you search for rear vacuum chamber for jaguar xf 20xx it should come up.

So that Y pipe is nothing but trouble. You can only get to it by removing the SC/intake plenum. I've seen on 5.0's they seem to be made of aluminum, which is so much better than the 3.0 plastic...I have 100k on my motor and the intake wasn't all that bad. Light amounts of carbon I just cleaned up with mineral spirits. I'm pretty sure my oil cooler seal leaked oil too in the brief moments my car was bleeding coolant everywhere. There's a member on here that has a very detailed post on SC removal, water pump, etc. Found here:

I also grabbed an xf manual online for about $18. It's a pain to use though, it's not tabbed and some of the instructions are just not instructions at all.
