InControl USB issues
Hey guys, I'm new here. Took delivery of my first Jaguar (XF 2.0 [180] Portfolio Auto) ever last week, and I'm enjoying the drive.
However, one really annoying problem I'm having is with InControl Apps. Would really appreciate hearing of others are experiencing this, or if it's something I'm doing wrong.
The issue is this:
About 50% of time I connect my iPhone 7, I get a message saying:
"Connect a compatible device to the USB".
This is despite:
The other 50%, it works fine.
I've tried everything I can think of- loading InControl Apps first, and THEN connecting - and vice versa. Restarting the phone. Turning off the ignition and starting the car again. When there's an issue, it usually persists for the whole journey and I can't access Spotify, JustDrive or any other app.
When it DOES work, likewise, it's good for the whole journey. The exception being if I turn off my screen (it gets mighty hot) or use my phone at all, which then prevents InControl from spawning new apps (it gets stuck on a 'loading application...' screen.)
Has anyone else experienced this?
I'm not sure what my next move is. I e-mailed Jaguar, but got a stock response from someone saying to follow the guide, which I read cover to cover. Judging by the rating on InControl Apps in the App Store, it doesn't look like I'm the only one experiencing issues... I imagine this is a software issue, but I can't tell for sure.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

"Connect a compatible device to the USB".
This is despite:
- Having all the latest updates on my iPhone
- Downloading a fresh install of InControl Remote, Apps, etc
- Having nothing else running on the phone besides InControl Apps
- Getting the 'charge' icon in the top-right, so I know the USB has been connected
- Using an official Apple cable
The other 50%, it works fine.
