Default Jaguar XF 2015 low battery warning

Owner of a used 2015 Jaguar XF R-Sport Black edition which I purchase 3 weeks ago.

Intermittently when I get in the car and start it a message is displayed on the main screen indicating that the car battery level is low and the system will shut down in a few minutes.

I took it back to the car dealership (not jaguar dealer) i bought it from and they told me that the battery was low because it had been sat on the forecourt for several months without being used.

However in the 3 weeks I have had the car I have driven it every single day to work (20 miles each way on motorway) and also driven a 120 mile trip to Southampton 4 times so guessing the battery should be well charged now.

I took it back to where I purchased to get them to look at it and they are saying that the battery is fine and charges ok. They basically implied that I hadn't driven the car.

My question is, could there be some other fault other than the battery? Such as something causing excess drain on the battery or is the battery fine and the warning just a false positive? I saw from earlier posts that some people resolved similar issues by getting a software update. How does this work? How much does it cost?

What are my options?

Thanks

First....wrong forum, you want X250 To start I would fully charge it if you haven't yet. If that doesn't help remove battery and have it tested properly for load. Just because you drive the car around doesn't mean the battery is holding a charge. I bet your battery is the original and who knows how long it sat. Do you have two batteries in the trunk?

I'll echo the suggestion to move to the right forum. For example I suspect (but cannot confirm for obvious reasons that your Jag is quite different from mine) that yours has two batteries. And the other one could be at fault.
