I own a Jaguar XF X260 2.0D from 2017. I bought the car a while back. Unfortunately, due to an accident I have to tow it. However, the 'pull lever' in the engine bay (next to the engine cover) doesn't have the cable as I see in other videos. It seems broken or w/e.
Any idea what I can do now? Engine can't be started due to a rod knock. See picture below, it's not a video.
If the release lever is not connected to the cable, then someone forced the lever out and broke it. Search the cable, it is somewhere in there. Check if the cable has the head connector and you can still re-attach it. If not you have to buy a new one.
