Default Questions about XFR

Hi guys. I’m planning on buying a Jaguar XFR in the next few months. The 5.0 v8 supercharged model. Looking for a 2012-2015. Having trouble researching it because whenever I type in XFR on google all I get is the XF base models. This will be a daily driver, nothing crazy just a little spirited driving to and from work.
just have a few questions before I make the final decision.
1. How much is the price of an average oil change/service and how long do you guys go before servicing again?
2. How often does the supercharger oil need to be changed and do they usually do that as a part of the normal car servicing?
3. Are there any common issues you guys see in these cars around 100k miles+? (i’m going to be buying one in the 50k-70k mileage range and want to make sure I won’t be seeing any issues right away)

and any other advice or info you guys could give me would be great!

I’m also considering the N/A 2012 XF 5.0.
another question, what is the deal with ECU tuning on Jags? I’ve only had experience with Nissan/Infiniti engines and know of dyno tuners near me here in America. Are there guys who dyno tune these cars in U.S and if so who’s some of the best guys and what are the usual price ranges for a tune? Or is it just chip tuning?

Hi
You should inquire at the forum for the older XF models. We here are 2016 and younger.

If you don't have deep pockets, stay away from the XFR or any super charged Jag for that matter. The supercharger coupler and bearings often fail and make a terrible noise at idle (sounds like marbles being juggled around in the engine) - replacing this is very costly because the entire supercharger must come off to do the job and while doing so, ancillary coolant pipes have to be removed and once moved, start to leak coolant, so you then have to replace these too while doing the s/c.
I was looking for an XFR for around 6 months and every single one I test drove had this s/c issue not to mention several other issues that needed doing, but weren't too much of a concern. If you don't do the s/c job yourself, the labor makes it really costly. The repair kits are relatively cheap on Amazon but be sure to get a good quality repair kit otherwise you could risk having to replace the entire s/c in the future and then you might as well scrap the car.
