I was under the impression that speed on a 2017 XF S was set at 121. We had a nice 50-60 mile back an forth jaunt with a Porsche Panemera earlier today and, um, the needle was showing further right than it should have

 

I don't think that is right, there is no maximum speed limiter as far as I know, there may be a max revs limiter to protect the engine. What there may be is a driver-settable max speed setter; there is one on my XE.

 

I know the Sportbrake was limited (123, 127??), for unexplained reasons (aerodynamics?) , but have never heard anything about the sedan. If anyone knows definitively about either, please share! Inquiring minds want to know.
