Hi folks. I'm thinking of picking up a 2016 XF for the old lady as her summer driver and was wondering how you folks like it and what are the known issues I should look for when I go test drive the car. It's a 2016 with 30,000 km on the clock. It's white and looks immaculate and it will be a surprise gift for her 50th. I have a 1997 X100 and love the thing and I am hoping for some input. Thanks in advance.

HI Tom, My Wife has a 2016 XF 35T Prestige. And we love it. It is economical and still can be powerful while being comfortable and stylish. No issues on ours, so far. Just annual maintenance. Ours has 44K miles on it, known weak spots are the plastic pipes under the super charger and I believe the water pump or oil pump. They sometimes fail around 60 K miles. (Forum Members correct me if I'm wrong,). We took a road trip to Colorado from Washington last summer. On the way there we kinda got off the beaten trail and were on dirt "highways". 55 MPH on dirt road with no shoulders and Antelope. Later we were on a long private road and got it up to 125 MPH. On the way back we drove straight through. 17 hours. 30 MPG average. Grace, Space and Pace. Gotta love it.

Thank you very much for your response. I took the car out for a test drive on Saturday and it was a nice ride, even on our icy snow covered roads. It's an AWD and will be replacing her 2018 Subaru Forester as her summer daily driver. I'm sure she's going to love it. Now to find a couple 100 feet of red ribbon.
I just got a 2020 Jaguar XF 30T Prestige with 12k miles man I love it. Best purchase I ever made got it for $10k less then KBB says. It's my dream car and it came with a 3 year warranty certified preowned.
Absolutely love my '16 35 Prestige with premium electronic system. 39,000 comfortable miles with only one niggling problem. My passenger side electric door lock actuator has failed twice in last three years. Fortunately only required some lubrication by my local dealership, so a minor issue. This is a common problem with numerous marques with soft close door locks. Many compliments on it's looks and it has plenty of power, comfort, excellent mileage, and a huge boot. Terrific steering input as you'd expect from Jaguar. Handling? Car has finished repeated first and second place nationally in Jaguar slalom program should one opt to let the cat come out to play. Not bad for a luxury sedan. Terrific vale for the money.
I bought my 2016 in 2019 with 14k miles on it and it's been fine since then. I wish it was a bluer blue, they took the photo in full sun for the adv.
