Default Tunes and upper pulley

Hey everyone I'm new to the forum and had some questions that hopefully get answered. I have a 2016 xf 3.0 sc and just did the velocity tune. I do have the upper pulley that I want to install knowing that it is a laborious job but wondering if would make a noticeable difference. Also, would I have to put it on a dyno to get the full use of the tune and pulley? Thanks

The smaller upper pulley achieves almost nothing on the V6 as it's only marginally smaller than the OEM pulley, you will achieve much more with a larger lower/crank pulley and associated tune. The lower pulley is also 1000% easier to fit.
Lance (unhingd) has fitted both pullies to his V6 F-Type and has plenty of good advice why the upper pulley is pretty much a waste of time and money.

Thanks for the info. I looked at some threads and seen that I would need the tune for the lower pulley but just spent money on the upper and tune from velocity ap. I don't want to spend more money and have the tune I bought go to waste.

VAP are good blokes to deal with (Chris and Stuart) and I suspect they would not charge you for another tune - one for the larger crank pulley assuming it is different to the upper pulley tune - especially if you bought a crank/lower pulley from them. They might even agree to swap the lower pulley for the upper pulley and only charge you the price difference, so I suggest you contact them and see what you can work out.
