This may have been an anomaly, but yesterday while shopping, I returned to the car and started it. The engine caught then immediately died. Started it again and same thing. Third try same. Then it started and ran fine for the next 30 minutes. Today no problem at all.

I presume this was just a glitch but no messages or anything.

My Stop-Start does not seem to function and has not since day one. Maybe this is some glitch of that system?

Just wondered if anyone has had this issue.

 

Problem turned out to be simple. When you touch the start button it must be released immediately or the vehicle goes into stop mode. I realized that I thought, like other vehicles, that you hold the button until the car starts. Not so. Once a signal is received that you have pushed the button, the magic of electronics takes over and does the job. So keeping finger on the button overrides the start signal and causes a stop.

Whew..what we find out by ourselves!
