Greetings all, I have a 2009 xf supercharged and I recently had to replace my rims and tires. After getting it back from the tire place, my horn double beeps at random times (never in front of a mechanic). Now, bear in mind, it doesn't happen every day, but on the days it does happen, it happens A LOT. It happens when I lock the car and step away from it, it does it after I unlock the car and have already gotten in before I touch the start button, it does it AFTER i push the start button, hell, it does it while cruising down the road. Its driving me nuts, and if I'm being honest, sometimes embarrasses me pretty good. I have no idea if it's related to the tires, but it just seems like quite the coincidence if not. Can anyone offer a suggestion before I go to the dealership and spend $1000 just to find out it's something silly I could have handled myself. Thanks

 

Wrong forum, you want X250. But I'll chance a guess. My car double beeps when the trunk or a door is open/not latched and I try to lock it. Maybe you have a problem in the wire loom going to the trunk area. Common issue with your year.
