Same on mine but I don't understand why you think that's a problem. The rivet is just a pivot point for the door limit. It's the other way around on my passenger side. In fact, it looks like the same piece on both sides of the car but just turned upside down! You get the prize for the pickiest observation ever about their new car

Its not like that on my Mercedes, it's fitted properly with the flat head at the top on all four doors.
It means if the rivet wears or snaps it will fall out and the door will swing open and fold the wing. With the flat head at the top if it shears it will still offer some protection to the door opening wide.
If you're going to fit a rivet the wrong way up you should at least do it on the passenger side.

Well its kind of the principal, if you're going to do something do it well or don't bother. I guess they had one less person on the line. One person does all 4 doors and to do them in time has to go underneath. Just looks poor and badly conceived to fit the rivets **** upwards.
Thanks for getting back to me at least I now know its a manufacturing fault rather than a Friday afternoon lemon.
This will give me a warm feeling when the driver side doors fall open during a sudden stop :-)
