Hello all,

So I have an x260 and the problem started when I noticed the car flashing and locking itself, even though it was already locked. It was as if someone was pressing the key FOB. I have subsequently noticed that as soon as I close the door the car will lock almost instantly, it's as if there is a short on the door sensor and it thinks someone is pressing the handle sensor. So...

I disabled the keyless entry hoping this would stop this happening. I noticed this morning that it was still locking itself.

This all seems to have started after having am battery drain and getting the battery changed (by jag).

Any ideas out there? Or anyone seen/heard of this before?

 

I would go back to Jaguar and tell them since fitting the new battery this has been happening. It’s up to them to sort it imho.

no, the battery has been tested and very little current drain on it.

 

@colin webb Hi! Do the problems with the doors still occur? After the car wash or some rain my car (X260 20d) does the same. Multiple door locking and light flashing can be heard and seen.

I have since disabled the keyless entry to my car and I have had no further issues. I think there was a short on the switch in the door handle. But I can confirm what you are saying, most of the time it was happening after car wash and during rain.
