Default 2009 Front Speed Sensor

Hey guys, My XF needs a new speed sensor on the front left. I know Jag part are high, but the dealership want $260 buck for a 2 wire speed sensor. That is totally ridiculous and I refuse to pay that on principal alone... That is a $60 dollar part on the high side for just about all other cars.

I seem to remember that the suspension parts are the same across some Lincoln vehicles but not sure which. Does anyone have any suggestions where I should look for one?

Well it's getting pretty far back there now?
But the Lincoln LS was a twin to the early S Type and of course the XF still has a lot of that in the chassis too.

Let us know what you find out?

Have you tried the costs at somewhere like Jaguar Merriam which sells parts online at a reasonable price (discounted to standard dealer costs).

I didn't know about them, they have the sensor for $195, still 3 times the price. And this isn't about the money, it doesn't bother me to pay a premium for Jaguar parts, but of knowingly getting the shaft doesn't work for me.

I will let you guys know what I find.

One other thought. I have both a LS and a STR. What I have found is a lot of parts will have a Ford part number on them.

Have you looked at the sensor and maybe even pull it out to look for something on it?

Even after 5+ years of owning both cars I am amazed at the amount of parts that are exactly the same.
