I installed a new battery and the little wire I think sensor was broke so I fixed it but now with the new battery the Warning Red comes on i can't clear it.

That wire (red/blue) has a lead section at the end which is a fuse, if that has broken/blown then the light will show! It's called a "fuselink"

I've got exactly the same thing. I had the battery out because I was working on the car (charged it whilst it was out), reconnected it and now have the red battery light. Charging circuit is runs at 13.8V when it kicks in so that seems ok. It has a B11DB87 DTC logged, which the manual says:

I happened to have another BMS so swapped them over but that made no difference, and I haven't looked into it any further because its too cold and wet to be outside fiddling with it.

You think that this is the same fused link lead that's failed in this case too (and part C2Z12463)?

I suppose I can test the resistance on the lead from the battery connected end to the BMS to see if its blown.

Give the cable a tug, as the link is held inside some heat shrink, so could be fractured internally.
