Default 2010 XF Lighter Fuse location

Hi everyone.

Can anyone tell me where the cigarette lighter fuse is located in the 2010 XF? The manual states a location in the engine compartment. However, the fuse is not there. I had this same incorrect information when I had my 2004 XJ8. The manual said one location and I ended up finding it somewhere else. I don't feel like checking every fuse in all three fuse compartments.

Thanks for your help!!

The fuse is located in the passenger side foot well. There should be a little door beside the foot well. I'm not sure what it labeled but I think its the one connect to the Aux outlet.. IMHO.. Hope that helps..

Super helpful, thanks! My local install shop couldn't find a fuse that cut off with the car using a circuit tester. I'm assuming it's the same on a '10 XFR?

hello guys, do you know if 2011 Jaguar XF fuse box is also on the passenger side ? What is the fuse number F22 or F32 or F28 or something else. I see a few different answers in different threads.

Can you guys let me know. Thanks.

Has anyone found the correct layout for the different passenger foot well fuse box that several of us have? I too am looking for the auxiliary power socket fuse (F28) and it isn't that fuse location. Mine is a 2011 XF S/C and the fuse box looks like the image in post 3 b but the fuses aren't in the locations stated. They are also wrong in my owners manual. I'm trying to hard wire a dash cam and want it to come on and off with the ignition like the power socket does. (Note) my cig lighter fuse is separate and is in the engine bay fuse box.

Thank you in advance

If I remember correctly, it's in the trunk on my 2012.

I think they are different from 2011 and 2012 but I'm not sure. If it is in the trunk I don't know which it is since my manual says it's in the foot well box.

Bought some spare fuses and the removal tool. I'll check the boot for the fuse box first in my 2009

Just my 2 cents...

I have a 2010 XF Portfolio

The fuse 28 in the passenger foot wall is for the auxiliary in the audio arrangement under the arm rest. The engine compartment F22 is for the cigar lighter incorporated in the cup holder but, for it to work you must ensure the relay is working as well. My car did not come with the cigar lighter so I added it (Wire harness was under the double cup assembly.) I was pulling my hair out trying to find out why it was not working as I did not see anything stating there was a tie to a rely but after looking over the wiring specs, I noticed the relay and it was not in my car, after a quick insert of the relay, all is working. (The relay location is next to F37.F38 in relay location 16)

Default Jaguar xf 2.2 2014..12 v cigarette lighter

Hi my cigarette lighter / 12 v power supply by the cup holder stopped working. I located the blown fuse in front fuse box under bonnet. It's a yellow 20 amp fuse. I'll try and attach pic?? However the one in the rear passenger compartment still doesn't work.. Is this on the same circuit? Thanks

Hi Jon
  1. Did you manage to find your fuse for the auxiliary point in the arm rest? I have the same issue. I would be very grateful for any assistance.
cheers
Vince

Hi Vince, was it not located in the interior foot well at location 28? Not sure where the 20amp fuse mentioned came from, mine are 15amp as indicated in the owner's manual.

The cigar lighter (if fitted) is different to the auxillary power in the centre consul, they are on different circuits & different fuses!

Many thanks. I’ve now changed the fuse in the engine compartment and all three interior power sockets are working so I guess all theee are fused by the same 20 amp yellow mini blade fuse. Thanks again

Hi ian2087, Sorry I never posted it clearly, the quote you have there is what I needed to get my cigar lighter working.

My Portfolio did not come with a lighter located in the upper cup holder and I wanted one for supplying power to my peripherals. I purchased one and when I took the old holder out, I found the wire to connect it to. I also had to add a fuse under the hood (Bonnet) in position F22. Also, it was missing the relay that supplied the power, so I had to purchase and install it in position 16 next to fuse locations 37 and 38. This fixed the problem and it has been working great now.

Also, It is a policy on this board to introduce yourself HERE prior to any posting of questions so if you could pop up to do so before a Moderator jumps in, it would be appreciated. thanks

Thanks kkurualak, apologies, just re-read the note... I should have put 'relay' rather than 'really'.

I've installed the kit and have a 15 amp fuse pin position 22, and getting the ambient light on the 12 volt socket, but no power to supply the 12 volt accessory and don't have a relay on the location you mentioned (but do have a socket), so should have written...

Since most parts are FoMoCo, I used 5M5T-14B192-EA V23136-J4-X62.
