They just slap different stickers on the batteries. How often do you drive the car anyway? Does it sit? Was it sitting for more then a few days before you started it?
It's driven every other day if not more and the battery was recently replaced.

But isn't that what we are all about? Helping each other have the best experience with this wonderful car. I would share any information that would help a fellow Jaguar owner have the best information he/she can have to make life with this car the best experience the they can have.

If the engine won't turn over with a jump from a known good battery then your problem is with the starter or its wiring. The alternator is never relevant to a fail to start except if it is the cause of the dead battery. A failed alternator will not prevent the engine from starting and running.
This statement is just wrong. A dead battery, one with an internal short, a shorted alternator, all will prevent the car from starting. The power source first goes to the drain, if it’s in the battery it will go there first, in the alternator straight to ground. A good battery will definitely charge a low one if its not shorted.
