Default 2010 XFR lower control arm leaking?

Hello everyone I am now the proud owner of my Jaguar xfr 2010 and I've only owned it a couple of weeks and already the dealer is telling me I need a lower control arm bushing in the front driver side I was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible just to change just the bushing they are charging me over $400 and telling me I need an alignment for an extra $200 after I have the bushing replaced any suggestions would be really great I was thinking of buying it online and having my local mechanic installed just the bushing but I don't know if he is going to be qualified to do such a job maybe it is not a big deal just because it's a Jaguar but any insight or any type of advice from anyone would be really nice thank you so much

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to X250 forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

This extract from JEPC shows which bushes are available:

A Jaguar Dealer is unlikely to replace a bush - they will replace the arm. An independent could therefore certainly do the work at less cost.

An alignment check is always advisable after replacing any suspension parts.

It would be nice to know where you are located, perhaps put it in your sig? Not sure you are in the US so answering with US based info could be a waste

The arm is relatively cheap and you can get a genuine one form many online places.

rock auto has the lower dorman version for $92 and the bushings for 10

Anyone can install it.

Rock auto also sells the bushing

Default dealer charging alot for bushing?

Thank you for that helpful information I have seen that online however the dealer said they can just replace the bushing for me but they're trying to charge me $382 I guess it's because you have to put on a special press and pop it out and apparently it's not something easy to do I just don't understand why they do not just change the arm but I guess if it's in good condition and only the bushing is leaking that's probably why they're charging me that much money I will probably just take the car back and have my friend help me change it
