Default Lower front control arm busings

are starting to leak. Do I have to buy the whole arm, or can I just get the bushings? Also, does anyone have a good resource for this other than a dealer?

Thank you

JP

What is leaking from them? Do you have a coolant/oil leak? The bushings are rubber/steel only. Best find out.
Bushings to be pressed in are available from online sources as are complete control arms.
Details of the procedures are on the boards.

The lower front control arm bushings on the 350 series car are oil filled. A common failure mode on these cars is for the bushing to leak oil.

Whats the story on previous model XJs?

Here is a UK site with a lot of suspension parts. I believe they will ship to the US. I have not personally used them (yet - haven't had to so far as only had the car 6 months !!)

They have a lot of suspension parts at the right price

OK, this has got me curious - why would a lower control arm have oil in it? What function would it serve?

Damping properties, same as the x308 engine mounts.
