Greetings...I have a gremlin in my key fob.

Replaced the battery a few weeks ago. Now it seems like I lock the doors (2x to get the beep beep) and I come back to an unlocked car. Just for grins I locked it this afternoon and, to my dismay, it unlocked itself about 15-20 seconds later.

Anyone have any ideas? I don't really want to take the car in for this, but obviously this is a big safety/security problem.

hmm, I don't know the solution but it sounds like maybe the car has forgotten the fob when you did the battery change...dunno

 

That could be, but would the car start if it didn't recognize the fob? I'll do some checking on reconnecting the fob and will update.
