Default 2011 XF Supercharged

Guys, I am in the market looking for an SC and found one that is 2011 low mileage car. The dealer did state the car was a loaner car. Should I be concerned about buying a "loaner" car?

not at all. Try to make it a select certified for around $1500 and get the 6 year 100k warranty.

I think I could offer some advice since I've purchased a couple loaners from dealerships prior to my conversion to the Jaguar.

Loaners are driven hard, no doubt about it. However, they are also generally taken care of by the dealership because the last thing they want is for a loaner to break down on a customer. Ask to see the record of maintenance which they should have on hand (of course since it's dealership owned) so you know exactly when the next maintenance schedule is. A buddy of mine did buy a loaner on my advice but forgot to check the maintenance schedule and ended up driving 3000km more before taking it in having assumed that the dealer had already done the maintenance on the car already prior to his purchase.

My previous car was a 2007 G35 Sedan LOANER that I bought in July of 2007 with 14,000 loaner miles on it. I still have it and it now has 122,600 miles on it and they were pretty troublefree fun miles.

I almost always buy lease returns or loaners and keep them 5 years or so. My Jaguar I'm driving now was a lease return 2011 with 14,538 miles on it.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

He also mentioned that the car had small hail damage that was repaired. He said not paint work was done but the dents were removed via paintless dent removal! I asked for pictures of the damage and he stated he did not have any. Concerns me as I am unable to travel to see the car. But based on reviews of the dealership they are highly regarded.

Yea, go for it. Just look over the car with a close eye and you will be fine. The car usually gives away right away if it was cared for or not.

He should be able to take pics and email them to you. I would be very hesitant to take their word on the hail damage.
Be careful and good luck..

Agree, don't understand why you can't have pictures, although they may not reveal anything. Can you hire someone to look over the car for you? I believe there are services that do this.
