Default 2012 XF Aircon pressure issue

Hello everyone, as the header states I have an issue with my aircon and would appreciate your advice. I lost cool air you could say overnight, one day working the next it’s not. Now to be fair I do run a company car so the Jag is not used everyday. So when it occurred it was a Sat afternoon and I wanted it looking at ASAP so long story short I ended up at Quickfit (I can hear your groans). They said they would do a pressure test and if all ok would recharge etc. so it passed their pressure test and I had aircon for about a week! So I then decided to take it to a local aircon “specialist” once it failed a simple recharge from Quickfit. The specialist was very informed and seemed to know his onions, so again they did a diagnostic and pressure tested the system again and again it passed, ie no apparent leaks. I was delighted as I was beginning to think it just hadn’t been charged correctly previously so a proper recharge might just do the trick. However I was wrong, the pressure gauges started to show an issue once charged, the specialist showed me that low pressure side was going up when the car was revved? They told me this should not happen, so again long story short they were scratching their heads and then diagnosed a faulty compressor. Now I have limited knowledge as in a previous life I used change compressors on domestic fridges, however their diagnosis didn’t ring true in my head, that and a possible cost of just under £900 to put it right. To me it sounds like a blockage somewhere possibly the dryer/condenser/evaporator. So my plan is to try an independent Jag specialist near me (Northants) for a second opinion before I spend that sort of money. So firstly I would welcome any thoughts regarding my fault and any suggestions as to where to take it for a second opinion. My apologies for the length of my post but I always believe detail is important on reporting an issue. Thank you for your time.

If they think it's a restriction (Blockage) I would replace the orifice tube before any of those other parts.
But your symptoms point very strongly to a leak. You charged it twice now and both times the AC quit within a week.

Can't believe you don't have a leak?
Maybe try more trouble shooting looking for a leak?
Black light flashlight and maybe pressuring the system instead of pulling a vacuum?
