Default 2012 XF - Incorrect Fuse Box?

I was looking at the fuse box in my trunk to do a fuse tap for an active exhaust I am installing. I opened the owner's manual to look at which fuses were used for which electrical system(s) in the car, so that I can fuse tap into one of the least complex system (TPMS, Supplementary Restraint System, Etc.)

The "Fuse No" mapped to the corresponding "Circuit" (Electrical System) in the owner's manual is completely different from what I see in my car. This raises two concerns:

1. Should I be worried that my Fuses don't line up according to the book? Or is my owner's manual not in sync with the Fuse Box in my car?

2. I can't narrow down which fuse supports which system, there are multiple 30A, 25A, 15A, 10A, and 5A amps, they are all in different fuse holders compare to the manual. I wan't to ignore fuse tapping into the complex systems.

Anyone run into this issue? Attaching pictures of the owner's manual and fuse box.

The fuses in my car, well at least in the interior (RHS A-pillar kick panel) fuse box, are nothing like as shown in my Owners Handbook. I suspect this is quite common.

Yea seems that way, it's kinda weird that the Owner's Manual doesn't have the right information.

Are you looking at the right fuse box? Jaguar calls these smart junction boxes, they act as a module as well, not just a power junction with only fuses. On the XF, there will be 3. One in the engine bay, one inside the cabin which is the central junction box, and the rear which is the auxiliary junction box. They give different names from SDD, to Topix to the parts catalogue. I've contacted jaguar UK about that many many times. With that said I've never looked at the owners manual for fuse location, never come across this issue. Unfortunately I'm off work for the rest of the week, I wouldn't be able to tell you fuse location until Monday my time, I'm in New Zealand, so that'll be Sunday your time.

Yes, I am aware of the 3 fuse boxes. The instructions I am referring to in the owner's manual are related to the fuse box in the rear trunk.

And thanks, I'll look forward to your update.

No worries, I've been pretty busy myself. I'll look it up and get back to you.

And here is yet another example of why one shouldn't hold too much credence in the OM as being the absolute gospel..Read it with a grain of salt.

Ok here is the info coming from Topix under your VIN, from the handbook. This is for the fuse box in the trunk. Let me know if you want the other fuse boxes too. If anything looks different, double check. Otherwise, I will have to go into the wiring diagram to get further info, which will take a little bit more time, and I can only look it up from work. Let me know, hope this helps.

Default Different fuse box in boot

Hi Jaaaggg
I have exactly the same fusebox in my boot (Jul11 XF 2.2D) but the info provided by JBzXJ40 does not help because the fuse layout is clearly different. I want to check the 30 amp fuse for the EPB (park brake) - it should be in position 2 according to my owner's manual and JBzXJ40's info but position 2 is empty.
Did you obtain a true fuse list ?
Cheers pfj

Unfortunately no. You are right about the list posted by JBzXJ40, it still doesn't match my fusebox. This is really weird that JLR wouldn't document stuff like this properly, I have had no luck searching the web either.

I found the passenger compartment fuse box is also wrong (haven't yet checked the engine fuse box).
Will post JLR's reply if I receive one.

Do you know what fuse was for F21 F22 on your diagram, it was not listed in this thread. my handbook does not have it either, it keeps blown and my navi, audio, bluetooth, back up cam is unavailable.

I would assume F21 and F22 are similar to this:

F26 15A Blue Audio system, Portable audio interface.
F27 10A Red Navigation, Voice recognition, Touch screen.

I am not 100% sure though, sold the 2012 XFR.

I found it, it was for the SDARS module with part number DPLA-14C740-AA and CH22-14c340-BC, it is in one module i think it was for the bluetooth, radio and XM. I unplugged all the wires from that module, and the fuse stopped blowing, and I found rust coming out of the ports from the module. I am buying an used part from ebay.

it depends on the year of the car, mine is a 2015 and we just had the f21 fuse blow and it was a 5A type fuse. I don’t know too much about the fuses when it comes to other year models
