Question 2012 XF trunk springs C2Z1829

Hello, I am a new member to the Jaguar forum. I'm hoping to get some assistance. I'm looking for the rear trunk springs for a 2012 Jaguar XF (PN C2Z1829). I tired a local dealer and they told me that PN is obsolete. Not sure where to look for them. I would prefer new springs and not something off an older vehicle from a junk yard.
Anyone that can point me in the right direction or offer suggestions would be appreicated.

Have you tried Terry's?
They list it but as always call before ordering because as you posted Jaguar has this as NLA and no estimate if or when it might be back in stock.

Yes, I called Terry's and they do not have. I'll keep searching.
Thank you for the reply, I appreciate the information.

I might try S-N-G Barratt - we'll see.

That's a tough one!
Post back if you find it but I would suggest a used part which should be fine?
We don't see any threads concerning trunk springs either?

Hi PDK-XF,

Welcome to the Jaguar Forums! It's great to have you with us.

Are you certain that you need the spring, part #6 in the diagram below, or do you need the support cylinder, part #7? The part number for the support cylinder is C2721500:

Jaguar lists the spring as discontinued, and I do not know of an aftermarket source. But if it is actually the lift support you need, Rock Auto carries the OEM Sachs Stabilus units for around USD $10.00 each.

Cheers,

Don

Hi Don, Thank you for the information.
Yes, it is the springs I need (#6 in the diagram) I did find them today and ordered them from SNG Barratt. They are around $9.00 usd each.
FYI - did install 2 new #7 support cylinders (struts) but that did not open trunk fully with the key fab. Hopefully the new springs will solve the issue.

Regards
