2013 jaguar xf - water damaage electronics - please help
Hi all, hope everyone's new year is off to a great start!!
I have a 2013 Jaguar XF that got damage from rain water that entered the drivers window. It somehow shorted out the central locking system, the stereo, the gps and backup camera - although the main head unit still functions in terms of clock, a/c, etc. I had it to the dealership for days and they could not fix it. I purchased a used module that goes under the seat but that also doesn't solve the problem. Has anyone experienced this issue and if so, were you able to solve it?
If not, does anyone know of an aftermarket stereo that might connect to the existing speakers that would avoid the car's internal computers/electronics? I'm certain that the speakers are fine and even the backup camera works if you turn the car on and immediately go into reverse but if the car's systems have time to boot up, the camera stops working. :-(
Thanks so much!
Chris
