Default 2013 Xf Sport badges

I recently got a 2013 XF Sport, and once thing that bugged me was that the "sport" badges all looked worn, so I'd looked into replacing them before buying, some replacements arrived over the weekend. I'm suspecting they weren't factory fitted, but can't find information on what they should really look like for that model.

The badges on the car are:
Front grill R badge, this has come loose as well as losing the chrome finish
R-Sport badges on the side vents under the chrome Jaguar badge, these have lost colour and chrome. t omy eye these are too long for the placement.

Rear R badge on the boot lid. This has lost colour and chrome, I've taken this one off. It had white double sided tape, and was filled with bluetack for the tape to have something to hold onto.

My questions are:
What would the factory badges be on this model?
Does the loss of paint and chrome, plus being filed with bluetack indicate they were fake badges added later by a previous owner?

I'm quite happy to take them off and clean up where they were, but if they are correct I'd like to make it look like it's supposed to.

The 2013 XF Sport didn't come with any "R" or "S" badges from the factory. All of the badges that were on your car were aftermarket by the previous owner. I have a 2015 XF Sport and added an "S" badge to the front grill, and one under the factory "XF" badge on the decklid.

Brilliant, thank you for the reply. That's pretty much as I expected. I'll clean off the existing ones and decide if I want to add any back.

Could you tell me how you attached the grill badge? It looks like I have to remove the front bumper to remove/replace that.

The "correct" way to attach the grill badge is to remove the front bumper and screw a backing plate thru the back of the grill to the emblem on the front. However, I secured mine with 3M double-sided tape...it seems to be holding up well. I just make sure to be careful when I'm washing my car to not catch my wash mitt and drying towels on it. Key is to clean the area with Isopropyl alcohol and pre-heat the tape so it sticks better.
