What's up Jaguar fam. 2012 XF 5.0 SC I notice some power slips at high speeds and my mechanic said my supercharger snout needs to be rebuilt. Need some help understanding what is the exact snot for my car or is it the same as Land rover 5.0 SC. And while I'm at it.... Might as well put a upper pully upgrade. Eurotoys the only place for a upgrade upper pully? I have a serious track meet in 35 days....*tears up*

 

look up Quality Superchargers on ebay - they sell rebuilt snouts. Good guy. You can get it with 7% reduced pulley installed.
your s/c has to come out for snout to come off - just in case you don't know. it's not a question - must come off.

do you have simple belt slip? perhaps a new S/C belt needed or a new s/c belt tensioner?

 

​​​​​​Thanks for the supercharger info. Me and my mechanic took the belt off and turn the snout, it has play in it and Ricky hear the bearings making noise. With a upper pully,Do I need to upgrade my cooling system? Cooling pump? Is there a cheaper upgraded intercooler than the one for $1200.

I will be ordering that supercharger first thing in the morning.

 

Yes, by buying it direct from the source in the UK. 560GBP = $750ish plus delivery. I got it and it's a direct drop-in for the XF.
