Default Air filter cover

Still getting familiar with my new to me XF and I'm wondering if there's a trick to removing the air filter cover. This is on a 3.0D. The two outer clips disengage without a bother, but the inner edge of the cover refuses to budge. Is it just a snap fit or is there something else lurking below that I can't see?

I can get my hand down there but can't feel anything obvious.

Thanks in advance.

You can't remove the whole cover without undoing one or more clamps at the other end (to the clips), which is a big job, but you don't need to remove the cover to replace the air filter.
The trick is to remove the 10 mm bolt which holds the base of the air box down, in between and below the two lid clips.
Then you can juuuust open the lid far enough to grab the air filter and pull it out and feed a new one in. You have to pull up on the outer edge of the lid quite hard, but don't worry you won't break anything.

Many thanks. Seems like some things are meant to be complicated!
