annual service price 2012 XF ??
Forgive me if this has already been discussed but I could not find a relevant thread,
In November 2015 when my car had its third free annual service I was informed by the local Jag dealership that, even though it would appear that I was entitled to 4, this was the last. I requested a price for the 2016 service and was quoted $350.
Today, when I drove the car in for its annual service, I was informed that the price would be $672! After I reminded the service writer of his $350 quote last year he immediately said he would give me the "dealer" price of $550. I asked for the service manager and was informed that he was in a meeting and could not be interrupted but I would be called later with a better price. Well the better price was first $570 plus tax! When I refused this it was quickly changed to $522 plus tax which I said I was still unhappy with. Still waiting for a new price.
What do you XF owners pay for your annual service? This dealership seems to charge what the heck it feels like. The only extra I asked for was new wiper blades which they omitted last year.

I'm always interested to compare how prices for the same item or service vary around the World.
I get the idea from many US members posts that service pricing over there is based on what any individual Dealer thinks the customer can or is willing to pay. There doesn't seem to be any standard and costs vary wildly.
Here in the UK, Jaguar Dealers are more open about their service pricing and it doesn't vary too much between Dealerships. This is from one of my local Dealers and is published on the web:

The Interim service on an XF is 199 UKP ($248) and the Major is 275 UKP ($342)
The other two Dealerships within a thirty mile radius are quoting exactly the same.

Mine is typically in the 300-400 usd range for annual service. It's a bit more on the years there are multiple fluid changes (e.g. Brake flush and change adds another 150usd ish.
Agreed that it is cheaper at an indy. But I like that my dealer knows these cars inside out, knows potential issues, has all the right parts at hand etc. and e.g. last month when it was in there was a software update as part of a tsb which they reflashed for free
So to me it's worth the extra 150usd or so that it costs me each year

I just do scheduled maintenance at home and avoid the llama drama. My most recent annual service (five years old, had 42,000 miles) was $38 for seven quarts of full-synthetic oil plus $15 for the C2D3670 filter kit on eBay, so $53 total and an hour of my time. Most common Jag maintenance parts can be found online for well under Jag MSRP.

Last year (October) when the dealer informed me that it was the last free maintenance service, I called Jaguar corporate and complained. Seems many people thought with the 4 year warranty that the 4th service was included if it was done prior to the warranty expiration. At that time they gave me a case number to give the service manager and my 4th was paid by Jaguar. It pays to complain if you don't think it is fair treatment.
