I've not heard of people comfortably getting more than 202/700 out of the 3.0 diesel (from either engine rating), and I'd be wary of taking if further due to the likelihood of split inlet manifolds etc.
In any event, track down Cameron fro Old Jaguar Australia - he knows his CarPlay stuff, and he has a sideline of tuning ZF gearboxes, too (though once again, wrong side of Oz!).
Celtic tuning mate, very reputable and confirmed stats from multiple XF owners. The 202kw is factory due to bigger injectors on the S series. Highly unlikely that the the factory tune is the highest able to be reached.
I wasn't aware that the injectors were bigger in the S series. Remapping will achieve gains without replacement injectors.
Supposedly yes, hence the ability to take the 175kw to just over 200kw mapped but the 202kw can get to 240 odd. Plus 100nm more torque . I may be talking out of my *** but I have read a lot of forums. I am a but pedantic in my research
i am awaiting some answers from installers mentioned here and may just need to suck it up and get a nee model and tune it. I really want carplay and the android replacement HU doesn’t look too flash for the Denso models
I'd be delighted to get the details of the unit for you. The supplier/installer here in Melbourne has just gone overseas on leave for about three weeks. I'll contact the office in the morning to see if they have records of the unit etc. Hope they will but if not I'll get them from Chris the owner of the business when he returns.
Anyone's tried it yet it would be the perfect to go with this unit, it has as setting tabs wonder if it shows the car setting, you wouldn't need to go back to the OEM screen so often.
Question with this new unit that has higher resolution have you noticed an improvement in the back up camera resolution?, you could replace the camera with this unit. I tried an AHD backup camera in the old unit, no improvement the resolution of the old unit does no justice.
@Taffyduck thanks for doing the research and install vids on this. The more I look at it, the more I'm liking it over the 11" tesla style. In fact, I just received on in the mail and I'm sending it back. The fit and finish of the 11" version is just not up to par with what should be in one of these cars, in my opinion. The bezel looks cheap, along with the crappy knobs and buttons out of a ford escort.
All that being said, the main reason I want to upgrade my infotainment is so I can have some dedicated gauges, like coolant temp and oil pressure. Does this system support this functionality through the torque app (or something similar) that connects to a bluetooth dongle hooked into the OBDII port?
I also like the idea of a hard wired dash cam, and if I read the details on the website correctly, this head unit should be able to support this. Is that true?

Hi vfrman,
The unit does have a video in connection so you should be able connect a dash cam, although I just use the app for mine.
It is possible to change the Bluetooth type in the Android settings so it's not used for the Bluetooth phone, which should allow to connect with an OBD2 dongle, I'd have to check that though.

I believe the same thing, the Tesla screen is horrendous, and has some bugs.
I would love to know how this unit works on denso systems.
Regarding permanently connected dongle to check things in torque, i highly advice against it i had it for over a year untill disaster happened, car died on the highway, it went crazy very dangerous situation, i lost servo and power steering almost had an accident, i managed to pull up on the side, turned off and on and it was like nothing ever happened.
After reading in many forums i found out it's been reported many times so stay safe and use the dongle only in garage.

Sounds like good advice 👍
With regards to the Denso I know they couldn't decode all of the canbus which meant some things on the original system don't work. I don't know if they've managed to solve the problems but may we worth contacting the seller to find out.
I have purchased the same unit as Taffyduck reviews in this thread, I really do enjoy having the integrated Android Auto feature, but the thing I dislike is that the audio comes from the AUX input, and the sound quality isn't as good as what you get thru Bluetooth. I find myself using this upgraded unit and still utilizing the OEM interface (I know, this defeats the purpose of the Android Auto capability), but I'm too much of an audiophile to settle for the AUX audio quality. I've even tried to adjust the equalizer of the unit to get it to sound similar, but can't find the perfect recipe.
I also can't figure out how to use the Apps and connect over mobile network with this unit, I've tried messing with the Android Settings, Factory Settings,...just can't get it.

Hi there,
I haven't used the mobile data on mine yet as I just use the hotspot setting on my mobile. But on my old unit I couldn't get it to work either until I read you have to put the SIM card in your phone and turn off the SIM pin. After I did that it worked, so may be worth a try👍
I don't have any problem with the sound but I think the unit may be setup to loud which may affect the sound quality.
I've just got one of these units but am not having any luck getting the original display to come through. Instead, I get a blank screen. Touch beeps can be heard, so it seems that it is communicating. I can switch back to the Android screen with a long press.
If you plan to leave the OBDII dongle installed please get a good one!
Those cheap OBDII things will always drain your battery. Note that pin 16 is always hot. This means that you can use whatever dongle you want IF you install a switch on line #16 so you can shut off 12 VDC to the dongle. Of course to use it you must again turn line 16 back on.
I recommend and constantly use the OBDLink MX+. Now it is more expensive at $140 BUT it has a great feature of going to sleep automatically and does NOT cause battery drain like the others. Note that this dongle also includes the OBDLink software which is not bad at all. The biggest drawback to this software is they don't offer a Jaguar enhanced software option so you only get the generic type codes read. OBDLink Mx+ Dongle
I also am a big fan of Torque Pro because for a tiny $5 fee it gives you a LOT of functions. ESPECIALLY the critical engine coolant number!!
It's well known that Jaguar no longer installs gauges but "indicators" for the engine temperature. What this bit of secret code means is you will NOT see the temperature indicator needle move until the engine has completely roasted itself into junk! We have dozens of threads with exactly the same thing. I did not get any indication from the car that it was over heating.
So for a small price you can stay on top of your car using Torque Pro. There are much better and more sophisticated scanners but I think everyone should keep a copy of Torque Pro around.
Do you have the special PID pack for Torque Pro? A member created it just for our Jaguar's and then gave away? If not get it and install it. It's a great way to stay ahead of your cars problems.

The only difference to @Taffyduck is that my display has a model number of EX23-10E889-CA, whereas his is CX23-14F667-AH.
I had the same trouble, only with mine the board was defective. Check the system settings and see if it's actually listed. If not the board isn't working. If it is there check your factory settings to make sure the correct display is selected.

Thanks @Taffyduck ! I have just spent some time going through all combinations of Car Type and resolution with no success. What did work was setting "dual view", even though I was not aware my car had a dual view screen.
However, after replacing the original screen to test that it was still OK I find that the IAM seems to be playing up, having a couple of strange behaviours:
1. USB devices are not recognised, even though the device lights up and the "activity" light is on solidly (its a SSD USB adapter which I have been using previously).
2. The screen goes blank when the engine is running and only comes back when the front window demister is activated. When engine is stopped then the screen is stable.
I guess something got corrupted in the IAM during all the plug swapping. The question is how is it possible to reset it?

Did the converter show up in the settings?
I didn't have any problems with my IAM all worked fine after the new board came but the unit had to be swapped after the usb port stopped working and it was causing starting problems.
Where did you get yours from?

The converter showed up OK from the start, it was the "dual view" setting that was the solution in this case.
What starting problems did you experience? With the engine? That's worrying!
I got mine from Amazon, not as cheap as from the manufacturers directly but I wanted some extra protection after having dealt with quite a few Chinese sellers in the past. Feedback is useful leverage for getting answers!
