Default Best MPG so far

On a recent short drive I noticed that my MPG was 25.6 which I thought was pretty darn good. Other details from the trip computer were avg speed = 55mph, distance 47.8 miles. Just wondered what other folks have experienced and what is the highest MPG on the forum could be. So please post your results.

Thanks

my 2010 Premium: best so far is drive of 71 miles. 26.3 MPG one way, 26.1 MPG back. Average speed was 58-60 MPH. I drove in 'Dynamic' mode. This trip included going thru Throgs Neck toll bridge in NY, and some traffic lights at the beginning of each leg.
Car had less than 4500 miles at the time.

Post Best MPG

2011 XF Premium 11,000 miles, best MPG has been 28.8 mpg (highway) driving a constant 75 mph in the summer with the the a/c on between Winston Salem, NC and Raleigh 102miles. Same trip in the winter is 26.5-27 probably because of the denser air. Not much around town driving, but when I do its 17-20 mpg.

Hi, I don't have an XF but do own a 2000 S Type 3.0 L that I have maintained a lifetime fuel economy average of over 28 mpg and had a single tankfill of 36+ mpg. I have also run segments of over 40 mpg. I use mild hypermiling driving techniques and have found modern Jaguars to be very fuel efficient for size, weight and luxurious accoutrements. Attached is an article I wrote that I hope you find useful if you are looking for better fuel economy in your Jag.
best wishes , VMV
