Default Big xenon questions

I was wondering if there is a brighter bulb upgrade for my 09 xf scheduled? I think it is ds1? Not looking for too much color change just brighter? Less or more lumens I think? Any advice would help and be appreciated.

You may want to look at the D1S: Osram Xenarc 66140 CBI. I have used the CBI's on several cars now with good results. Brighter than standard hid's, less yellowish tint than standard, and quality factory made.

The link above is to the D2S, which won't work in an XF, you need the D1S (66144, not 66140) for an 09 model and the D3S for a MY 2012 onward.
I swapped out the stock bulbs on my XFR to 6000k cheapish Chinese ones (not CBI) and they worked well.
I also recently changed the bulbs on my F-Type to Osram Zenarc D3S CBI 5000k and I'm very happy with them, nice strong bright white light much better than stock.

Hi. The link was pointing to the Osram website, it lists all the flavors. Actually, at least here in the US, i can assure you the 66140CBI is the cool blue D1S bulb. (see attached spec sheet). I am not familiar with the 66144 you mention, but i see on the osram site they list it as D1S CBH, cool blue hyper xenarc, which has a slightly more blue, higher kelvin temp. Maybe it's a newer version, don't know. I haven't used those before, but they do look like a good choice for the future.
But at any rate, I only wanted to point out that the Osram D1S cool blue bulbs work well and are good quality.
