Default Bluetooth disconnects

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone knows the solution to my issue here. I have a Samsung Galaxy s6 edge the car will disconnect randomly from my phones Bluetooth, even mid call. It's gotten to the point where I just can't use it any more. I found some things online saying turn off the phone book and delete the car from the phone and the phone from the car and reconnect them.

Nothing so far has seemed to work, I also have had no problems with other Bluetooth devices on my phone such as my soundbar, Audi, headphones, gym headphones.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

From a little research it seems like you've discovered a known issue with the S6 Edge.
  • Some have reported success with telling it to "forget" and re-pair.
  • See if your phone has an update in the settings menu and if so apply it - some have said this fixes it.
  • Blocking the Samsung messaging app from using bluetooth looks promising.
  • As a last resort some have tried a factory reset (warning: will erase data, and not assured to fix!) and got it working.

Unfortunately there does not appear to be a simple cure all here

Wish you the best of luck.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I tried them with no luck, and this is in fact my 3rd S6 edge. between this and the constant slowdowns of the phone i think I'm ordering a one plus 2 or z3+ ill let you know what the results show.

Thanks @molotov369

Technology changes so fast now! New phones surpass the car tech every year. Love my Galaxy S3. Works great on all my cars!
