Default Brand new issue....

Just finished a 1000 mile trip and drove through No. Califs. rain storms and can say that the car handled very well with just a hint a couple of times of hyra-planing. The wipers are awesome. However, I just discovered while in the trunk that there is standing water in the lowest part of the trunk (well below the spare tire)....about a half an inch. Anybody experience this and how do I get it out or should I worry about it. I don't own a wet/dry shop vac.
And BTW, the slight creaking I had from the right rear has gone away for now.

Can't help you with the water source question, but look for a rubber plug in the bottom of the truck. On some cars, they have a hole to drain out water and they install a plug that is easily removed and replaced.

Known defect in some cars. Get this fixed under warranty. Battery issues can be caused by this silly fault. It rains a fair bit in the UK and many UK owners have mentioned this fault. Inadequate trunk sealing is the cause. It can and should be fixed.
