Bringing my 2012 XF250 2.2d Head Unit up to current Maps, Music etc.
Hello All.
I joined the 3 XF Jag forums a year or so ago with the plans to buy an XF.
As in most things in life things change. Finance and other variables change.
Since I was a kid, I have always lerved Jaaaagg's
Previously, I have owned two models, a 1972 XJ6-C and a 1986 XJ6. Both had the 4.2- 6.
The '86 I had the carbs removed and I had it fuel injected. I also had the 3-speed borg box replaced with a 5-speed Toyota. This car hummed. I wish I still owned it.
Anyway, a couple of months back I took possession of my 2012 XF X250 2.2D in Azurite Blue with black interior.
I am wrapped with this Jag, nearly obsessed (lol) so I have been reading, reading, then YouTube, then reading again.
As this is my 2nd post for most of these forums and I would like to ask for the current opinions for the 2012 XF's entertainment head.
Either an add-on plug-in option or a complete replacement.
Guessing that most who do not wish to take the "Dennis route" (complete head exchange} or do the trim tool specialist "Hilton" behind the screen box add-on, any suggestions are welcomed.
Both of these guys have been terrific for me helping me make my decision to buy the car I now own.
My question is, what are the newer equipment options other than the Canavie or UK back of dash plug-in box to give me full access to Android 10-11-12?
Now that Canavie has finally produced a RHD version it would be great to hear from anyone that has one that is operative.
