2008 XKR Portfolio , can you replace factory head unit with a later model head unit?
Was wondering if it's possible to replace a later model Portfolio that has the B&W sound system with a later model to be able to use camera's, Iphones and hope the stereo also sounds better.
Thanks. I've searched plenty on Portfolio or B&W stereo or speaker upgrades and I have never seen it. By looking at Jahummer and your threads I have found about the backup camera but i'm still looking to see if my 2008 can swap out the headunit. I will continue to look. This all started because both of my B&W tweeters are not working.
See these two threads. Should answer your questions

If your tweeters aren't working, but the bass speakers in the doors are working, then your tweeters are blown, or unplugged, they are on the same channel as the bass speakers so it can't be a fault with the amp or head unit.
Replace the B&W tweeters with the Alpine ones from the earlier cars, you'll be much happier.
If you update the touchscreen software and gateway software to the 2009MY versions, then it's possible to add a "factory" reverse camera, also the iPod/USB interface, which can give you bluetooth audio streaming as well with an additional dongle.

Unfortunately no to both. Bluetooth audio was never available for the X150. Members here have used various Bluetooth adapters to plug into the car.
Or you can buy a small, portable, (battery operated) Bluetooth speaker that fits on the floor behind the seat to link with your smartphone's Bluetooth audio. It's not integrated with anything, but it's an inexpensive solution that works for me.
