Default Car driving like crap today

I've know there is a slight tranny issue with my car mostl likely needs valve body replace but a small possibility a top up on oil will do it.. usually driving in winter mode shows no symptoms but today in regular mode on the freeway the car just didn't feel nornal it felt like there was some drag and jump to it.. then when I got off the free way and was back on the street back in winter mode at one point the car start to chug, I felt like it was going to cut out but I did make it to work and now I'm worried about making it home.

There is no engine lights on. I turned it off and back on and no light came on, any ideas?

Oh and I'm having the water pump replaced next week, not sure if that could have anything to do with it?

Well, just driving in winter mode in itself will make the car feel sluggish and slow in response. Winter mode slows throttle response and transmission shifts, makes the trans shift early and cuts torque to limit wheel slip and E diff mitigation is early for the same reason.
The ECU reset is worth a try, but a trans service might also be a viable remedy before a rebuild.
