I changed mine last Friday by myself.

I chose the best battery being offered at the auto parts store. It has a 5 year warranty for just $145.00.

In this youtube video by a Jaguar Tech, they say that a recalibration is needed for the battery tender:

I'll have to take my car to my local jag tech (non-dealer) for this service. The car is running just fine at the moment though.

Cheers

Make sure you use the proper battery!
That means one with a vent and hook up the vent hose.

Too many people including dealers ignore the vent.
I prefer Bosch batteries because they are dual vented and you can move the vent plug to the opposite side from where your vent hose attaches.

Great point! I made sure I hooked up the vent to the battery.
