Chrome tail piece

Hi does anyone know how to get the chrome tail piece of a 13 plate 2.2 XF as I would like to put twin pipes on

I've never had a 2.2 but on the 3.0 the chrome tips are spot welded on under the cover so the 2.2 tip most likely is as well.
If so the only way to get it off is to cut the whole tip off.
