I recently noticed a clicking (metal rattling) sound coming from under the car between 30-50mph. It sounds like it is coming from right under the car on the driver's side. I have had success getting all the other "rattles" fixed from the dealer so hopefully my "success" continues.

Thoughts????

Any luck with figuring out what the rattle was? Were thehy able to fix it?

 

After a few time back and forth to the dealer, they finally figure it out that is was the hood. There where some lose screws on the springs.

 

Interesting! Well it's in for service now so I guess we'll see what it is or atleast what they think it is in another day or so. My thoughts are a possible exhaust leak??? but who knows.

 

It appears its the fuel injectors making the noise. Was told thats a common issue on the 2011s so I had the dealer put me in 3 other 2011s that were on the lot and they all made the same noise, one a little quieter than the others (less mileage) so I guess they were telling the truth.

 

Yes those DI (Direct Injection) engines make a lot of noise because of the ultra-high fuel injector pressure. Many people have reported this.
