I have a 2012 XF portfolio 5.0 litre. I have searched the archives, but none of the entries seem to match my issue. I am getting an intermittent "Low coolant warning" message. It happens after I've been parked for 5-10 minutes, and goes out after 1-2 km's of driving. The coolant isn't down, and there aren't any leaks. I'm not concerned, but it is annoying. The warning has always gone out on it's own. It's not throwing any error codes.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? Thanks in advance for any enlightenment.

I had a similar issue on my 2001 XKR. It was a dodgy float sensor in the reservoir tank. I replaced the tank and all was well.
