Exclamation Day Time running lights

I have tried searching threads to no avail... Any advice on how to trouble shoot or replace DRL's? By the way, I can only assume that the "eyebrow lights" in our 2012 Portfolio addition are considered DRL's. I can find no real description or diagrams to clearly define such an animal. According to the reproduced Mahoney Window Sticker we have Bi--Xeon Headlights. The passenger side "Eyebrow" DRL? light is now not operational. Any thoughts, insights or advice? I have gone through the workshop manual and owner's manual but still all is clear as MUD, Even the subchapter "DRL" is not clear.
Thanks to all who view and or respond!

No responses so perhaps I need to clarify. What appears to me to be LED strips beneath the headlights that stay on during the day, I am assuming these to be the DRL's. Can anyone confirm? Does only the Portfolio addition have these?
Thanks again.

Well in the UK all facelift models have the DRL running lights, but the laws where you are may be different, perhaps some US readers can confirm?

Thanks John, I think after reviewing several other sites I can deduce these are indeed the DRL's. As far as trouble shooting however, I guess these don't cause many problems, states side anyway.

The dealer can control turning them on as drl or not. But sounds like you have one coming on but not both?
Wiring harness behind the headlights can get hot and 'cooled' over the years. It's possible that it has got a broken wire. If they are the same pin out you could connect the left light to the right connector and test to see if it's wiring or the light. But someone here can confirm if they are pinned the same way befor that so you don't do any damage

I don't want to say this, but if you have the problem with the water wicking up the loom from the washer pump, this affects the drl's.
The way to check is to pull out the grey, top left, multiplug & check for corrosion.

Thanks John, kind of a bugger to disconnect but fortunately all seems OK with that connector. It would appear you have your hands full!
Thanks again!
